The Student Literary and Arts Journal
of Austin Community College

The Rio Review grew out of a desire to showcase student creative work in the Arts and Humanities. Published twice a year, Spring/Fall, the journal publishes only poems, short stories and artwork by students at ACC. Campus wide in scope, submission is open to all students. Faculty and administrative staff are welcome to submit if they have taken art or creative writing classes at ACC.

ACC English Department faculty act as judges for all written submissions which are ranked. Finalists are passed to the editor for selection and editing for publication. Artwork is submitted to the journal editor by students or their instructors of printmaking, painting and photography.

The journal will be produced in the future by creative writing interns from the new two-year creative writing concentration. The internship will focus on journal pre-press design and production. Collaborative work between the senior photography classes and the Dance Department is planned for the Spring 99 issue.
