Come check us out!

Monday: READ & RELAX

Come & enjoy peace and quiet and read. We have Black Enterprise, O, the NOKOA, the VILLAGER, the Austin American Statesman, and many others...or feel free to use this time to study, rest, or relax.

Tuesday: MUSIC

Come jam to some Blues, Hip Hop, Rhythm & Blues, Old Skool, or whatever we might be “feelin’” that day. Music will be played from 10-3 p.m.

Wednesday: STAY TUNED

This day is reserved for our Special Events.  Scheduled events include workshops with financial planners, to help you save for school; motivational speakers, to keep your “eyes on the prize”; and visits from community organizations, such as AIDS of Austin or The Diabetes Association, to keep you educated and healthy. Additional information for these events will be posted on the What's Happening at ACC Calendar as details become available.

Thursday: MOVIES

Come & watch some movies and give yourself a little down time.  Some of the movies include African American Lives, hosted by Louis Gates; Amistad, starring Morgan Freeman and Matthew McConaughey; and Rosewood, starring Don Cheadle.  Movies will be shown from 10-3 p.m.

Friday: First come, first served

Read, watch a movie, listen to some music, chill out, it’s up to you!

Dividing Line

Always feel free to chat with us & give us some suggestions on what else you would like to see us do!

Do make yourself comfortable, but please remember, no food or drinks are allowed in the Center.  Thank you for your cooperation.
