Information for Students with Special Needs

Students with special needs should contact 223-5124 and speak with Kathy Dowdy prior to attending the two-day, twelve hour, orientation if assistance is needed during the orientation and/or while attending class. Examples of special needs includes but is not limited to students who are hearing impaired, visually impaired, physically disabled, learning disabled, etc.

Someone will be available to coordinate with resources within the college to address your individual needs such as assessment and classroom accommodations ( i.e. tutors, readers, scribes, interpreters).

• It is important to call 223-5124 BEFORE you come to orientation and are assigned to a class.
