Degree plans culminating in an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), or Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree must include 42 credit hours drawn from the Core Curriculum course list. Degree plans culminating in an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) must include 15 credit hours drawn from the General Education course list. Certificates, Marketable Skills Awards, and Institutional Certificates do not require completion of courses from either list. The table below identifies which degree plans require the completion of 42 credit hours in the Core Curriculum and which require completion of 15 credit hours of General Education courses. Please note that the 15 credit hours of General Education courses are incorporated into the Core Curriculum coursework.
