Suzanne Ortiz introduced the guest speakers.
Dana Tucker (Compensation Analyst) went over some of the terms used when discussing compensation.
Vickie West (Compensation Manager) explained the Universal Living Wage.
Shari Rodriquez (Sr. Compensation Analyst) went over the Movement within the Salary Scale.
Questions and Answers from the meeting:
Q) Who writes the job description?
A) The job descriptions is written by the Compensation Manager and approved by the PLT.
Q) What does preferred on a job posting mean?
A) Preferred on a job posting is the ideal candidate.
Q) How does ACC as a College justify some employees getting more than the 4% salary increase that is given by the Board?
A) A salary increase given above the Board approved 4% for some employees could be justified by a reclassification of position or a market adjustment.
Vickie West discussed over-time and flex-time with the Classified Association as well as tap pay.
