I. Agenda Item: Plans for the coming year: Suzanne Ortiz ask the Classified Association for suggestions
for speakers for the coming year. It was suggested that the Social Security Administration
be asked to do a presentation.
II. Agenda Item: Report on the Dec. 2008 Board Meeting: Shared Governance was discussed. Other ACC
Organizations have asked members of the Classified Association how well they think
Shared Governance is working in the College. Suzanne Ortiz ask that comments from the
Classified Association members be sent to her.
Suzanne informed the members of the Association that the Grievance procedures are being
rewritten again. Dr. Kinslow requested changes be made and forward the rule to the Administrative Services Council once again.
III. Agenda Item: Update on the smoking survey: The results of the survey are posted on the Health & Safety
website.
IV: Agenda Item: Preparations for the next fund raiser for the Classified Employee Emergency Fund:
The members of the Classified Association agreed on having a silent auction. Suzanne
Ortiz is asking for volunteers.
New Business and announcements: ACC received a good audit report.
The Classified Association collected 98 lbs. of food for the food bank.
A suggestion was made to have a food bank drive once every quarter.
The Round Rock Campus ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 5th.
