We have two willing volunteers for the Special Election for Parliamentarian!
Sandie Smith -  I started at ACC in 1997 as an hourly in the Biology department. I graduated from the ACC Academy class of 2011-2012 and am an Advanced Leader Bronze and Advanced Communicator Bronze in Toastmasters. I have more than a quarter century of organizational leadership experience, and I have built from the ground up three successful organizations, the oldest of which is 20 years old, and all of which still exist.  I have written for magazines and worked as an editor. I was excited when ACC adopted Servant Leadership, as that is the leadership model I have used for decades. If elected, I promise to serve with dedication and diligence.  Thank you for this opportunity.

Stephanie P. Marquez - My name is Stephanie P. Marquez and I am confident that I would serve the needs of the members well as your next Parliamentarian for the ACC Classified Employees Association. Having worked at ACC for more than seven years, both on a campus and at the Highland Business Center, I can offer the insight and perspective needed to better address your concerns.  I currently serve the financial aid office by hosting orientations and training sessions, improving communications management, developing and implementing some policies for our office, and providing excellent customer service to both students and staff alike. I am passionate about serving our community, which is why I volunteer at the LBJ Presidential Library as a docent on weekends and participate in the Financial Aid Saturday Chamber of Commerce events to help students fund their education. As a current inductee of the Leadership Academy, I am excited about finding new ways to serve and lead our community. Over the years, I have witnessed the multiple changes that have transformed ACC into the college it is today and understand the many challenges ahead.  I look forward to serving you as Parliamentarian in the future, should I be elected.  Thank you for the opportunity.

Look for the election email next week!!
