General Meeting Minutes - Tuesday, January 11, 2000
HBC Room 201.1 - 12:00 - 1:00 pm

This meeting was dedicated to Classified Who Are New -- Since August, 1999:
(December minutes to be reviewed in February due to a full schedule).

President Doyen reported on items impacting Classifieds: We have a new Chair of our Classified Committee of ACC Policy/Procedure Review (examines new policies for impact on classifieds). Jimmy Land became a Professional Technical employee when he became Pinnacle Testing Center Supervisor. He was thanked for his tremendous work for all Classified. Jim Stoddard, PIN, LRS, now ably fills that role. ACC Board of Trustees Report: Due to the concerns about our payroll and other budget issues, it was good to know that ACC now has a clean bill of health on the final (external) audit for this past year. Processes Proposed for Review by Outside consultants include Pay Cycles & Pay Distribution for Campuses.

Committee Reports: Policies/Procedures: Chair, Jim Stoddard
Elections: Al Kaiser is getting ballots ready.
T-shirts - more orders needed.

Stephanie Diina, Coordinator of Resource Development, described the options available to us for the creation of a Classified Employees Assistance Fund.

Donna Pitts presented information from the Constitution/By-Laws committee.
Concerns addressed were (1) the meeting days and times - with possible use
of the V-Tel rooms,(2) possibility of changing our organization's name as
well as ensuring consistency of the name wherever it's used officially, (3)
election of campus representatives and definitions of campus and (4) we learned that Central Warehouse is covered by NRG; RGC covers the ACC Skill Center).
