1) ACC Board of Trustees Meeting (12/6): 3 Board member
positions will be up for elections, May 6th; the Board received the
Classified officers' job performance evaluation of President Fonte;
at Fonte's request, the Board will look into professional evaluators
to review not only the President's performance, but also the accuracy
of employee benefits (and into the salary issues which were problems
earlier); the use of outside "citizen committees to provide advice to
the Board and/or College" will be considered; among the policies up
for review in future: "Due-Process Requirements for Employment Termination;"
Board members expressed concern that the "24 hours of professional development"
will be administered fairly.
2) Classified Officers' Meeting with Fonte (12/9): 2
items per Jackie Poole - Possible in our future: a Classified Emergency
Assistance Fund, & a Degree Completion Assistance Fund (Bachelor's
degree). 1 item per Mark Goodrich - Fonte is looking into the Classifieds
request to have a Campus Police Officer on the Campus Police Task Force.
