Change Your ACCmail Name

Your ACCmail account automatically reflects the name on your ACC record:

  • Students: [first name].[last name]@g.austincc.edu
  • Employees: [first name].[last name]@austincc.edu

You can change the name that appears on your ACCmail in one of two ways.

Request an ACCmail nickname

You have the option to request an email nickname if your formal name is not the name you normally use (i.e. if you go by your middle name, etc.). Your nickname will be displayed between your official first name and last name before your current ACCmail address. Allow one business day after submitting a request.

Request an official name change

If you legally changed your name for marriage, adoption, or other reasons, you can change your official ACCmail address after the name change is reflected in your ACC record.

IMPORTANT: Changing your ACCmail address may cause service interruption and/or data loss in non-ACCmail services that you access using your ACCmail account as login credentials (such as MYSL, Groupon, Living Social, GoogleTalk, YouTube, Picassa, Google+, etc.). You will not lose emails or documents already housed in your ACCmail.
