Value Statement

Students who participate on official college committees or departmental governance committees will be compensated for their time and contributions.
Administrative Rule
General guidelines include:
Stipends will be paid to active executive officers of the Student Government Association at the end of the Fall and Spring Semesters. Executive officers are elected by the student body, or appointed by the SGA president and approved by the Student Senate. Stipends are paid from the Student Activity Fee budget in the amount recommended by SGA, and approved by the Student Services Council.
SGA executive officers are eligible to receive stipends upon the successful completion of the stipend criteria as agreed upon by the SGA and the Office of Student Life. Stipends will be paid to students who serve on official college committees or departmental governance committees, subject to prior approval of appointment from the President. Student committee members are interviewed, approved, and placed on committees by the SGA and the Office of Student Life. Stipends are paid from the Office of the President in the amount approved by the President.
Students must attend at least two-thirds of the meetings in order to receive payment. It is the responsibility of the committee chair to monitor this (documented through the official Minutes of the committee).
