Value Statement

Employment conditions will be made clear to employees.  To ensure fair and equitable treatment in hiring and employment, the President of the College or the President’s designee is authorized to employ, set the terms of employment and to make personnel decisions including suspension or termination regarding ACC employees. 

 

Rule

All part-time, hourly, adjunct faculty, Classified, Professional-Technical, and Administrative personnel are employed on a non-contractual, at-will basis, and employment forms will acknowledge this.  Non-contractual employees will not have a formal, written employment contract.

 

Classified, Professional-Technical employees and Administrators are subject to performance management policies and procedures.  New Classified, Professional-Technical, and Administrative employees, including part-time and hourly,  are employed in a probationary status for 180 days from the date of hire and during this period are non-contractual, at-will employees who may be terminated for no cause and without notice.

 

Full-time Faculty are employed on a contract basis and subject to the college’s rules and regulations.
