The College encourages its eligible employees to acquire additional education and knowledge to enhance their professional performance during the discharge of their duties and/or to acquire personal education by exempting them from paying the tuition and the associated fees of the College's authorized courses in which they enroll. The College provides Employee Tuition Exemption Vouchers as a benefit to ACC employees (except hourly).
It is the policy of the Board to exempt eligible employees from paying the tuition and associated fees of the College's authorized courses in which they enroll. Availability of Employee Tuition Exemption Vouchers is subject to availability of the College's funds.
The Office of Human Resources manages the Employee Tuition Exemption Vouchers through a comprehensive system of integrated procedures and guidelines. Business Services shall include the expense of these vouchers in the College budget.
The Office of Human Resources shall make the Employee Tuition Exemption Vouchers available in July of each fiscal year for the upcoming fiscal year.
To receive Employee Tuition Exemption Vouchers, employees must meet the eligibility criteria listed in the Employee Tuition Exemption Vouchers Procedures and Guidelines developed and set by the Office of Human Resources. Tuition vouchers may not be given by employees to others.
Using the Employee Tuition Exemption Vouchers to attain sufficient enrollment to cause low enrollment courses to make is prohibited.
