Value Statement

Employees of the Austin Community College District (“ACC” or “the College”) hired through grant funding provide valuable services to the College and shall be treated comparably to all other employees, subject to grant conditions, and in accordance with pertinent College policies.

Administrative Rule 

Employees of the College working under a federal, state, or other funded grant or award are eligible for the same leave benefits as other staffing table full-time and part-time employees, provided the terms and conditions of the funded grant or award provide for such benefits. 

The employment letter for all employees hired under a grant shall state the terms and conditions of employment under the grant.  

Grant employees whose projects are ending must take all accrued vacation leave prior to the ending date of the grant. 

Responsibilities: 

1.       Restricted Accounts shall notify the Office of Human Resources, Compensation Section, of the terms and conditions of employment under a grant.  

2.       The Office of Human Resources shall ensure that job posting announcements include any specific terms and conditions of the grant.  

3.       The Office of Human Resources shall provide the offer letter of employment to the candidate outlining any terms and conditions of employment.  The immediate supervisor shall receive a copy of the offer letter of employment.  

4.       The hiring department shall ensure that the terms and conditions of employment are satisfied.
