The Adjunct Faculty Association is proud to present a diverse look at the multiple services and support offices available to students at ACC in this year’s Fall Meeting. Presentations will focus on areas available to support our students’ educational experience at ACC and beyond. Some of the services represented will include: Office for Students with Disabilities, Veterans Affairs, Service Learning, Support Services and more! This year’s event will give each participant the opportunity to hear presentations and talk with those dedicated to these invaluable areas of the college as they work to serve our students’ and AFA commitment to Servant Leadership and student development. Please join us for this informative and important forum as well as food and fellowship!

 

All adjuncts are automatically members of AFA and are encouraged to participate. There are no dues. The purpose of AFA is to represent officially the concerns of adjunct faculty at ACC, involving any and all issues, to include, but not limited to: pay and other compensation benefits, job security, academic freedom, instruction and instructional materials, teaching and evaluation, and communication.

Adjunct Impact: ACC adopts a new Adjunct Orientation Module

ACC adjuncts can enroll in a comprehensive, helpful orientation to life as an ACC adjunct . The site discusses everything from ACC policies, to paychecks, to teaching strategies and lesson plans.

The Adjunct Impact module is designed for all new adjuncts, but even experienced adjuncts may enjoy refreshing their memories and testing their current knowledge.

To access the orientation, go to www.adjunctimpact.com/u/acc. Click “Register Now” and wait for an email with a registration password (you may have to get this out of your junk folder – or approve any email from support@bcplearnng.com). Or, you may ask your department assistant to enroll you.
