Fundraising

The primary fundraisers for AFA include the College Connections Scholarship and the Faculty Emergency Fund. In 2006, our silent auction raised $3315 for College Connections. With the matched funds from the ACC Foundation, this will mean more than three scholarships for local area high school seniors to attend ACC. This scholarship helps meet the needs of students in the statewide "Closing the Gaps" initiative to bring more people into the higher education system. In 2005, adjuncts raised the highest amount of funds for this scholarship than any of the other employee associations. This not only shows how much the adjunct faculty cares, it also shows what they can do united.

The Adjunct Faculty Association would like to thank all the individuals and businesses who donated items for the silent auction listed below. We would also like to send out a special thanks to those who donated $$$ during the “shout out” at the Membership Meeting and to those members of the AFAEC who procured items for this auction. And finally, thanks to all of those who participated in the auction. Without your support, it would not have been such a great success.
