Marilyn's family moved to Austin from the valley when she was almost 10. She graduated from Lanier High School and the University of Texas, with a BA in Math and English, an MA in Math Education, and a Lifetime Texas teaching certificate
for Secondary Mathematics and English.

She taught High School Math and Computer Programming in Central Texas for 35 years, in the Hutto ISD, Austin ISD and Pflugerville ISD. Now she teaches Development Math at ACC. Marilyn has also worked in the NRG and EVC Learning Labs, tutoring through Pre-Calculus.

Marilyn loves crossword puzzles, Sudoku, word games, and the Jumble. An avid bridge player, she has two grown daughters. Marilyn loves working at ACC and enjoys teaching adults and plans to do it until she can't do it anymore, or until she doesn't enjoy it anymore.
