
Michael Martino has taught at ACC in the Computer Studies Department
since 1997. He also taught computers to grades four through twelve
at a private school for four years and was Headmaster. Since 2004,
he’s been an AFA representative for Northridge As a rep,
his interest is in assisting adjunct professors in their pursuit
of fairness in all matters associated with teaching at ACC.
Before early retirement from IBM, Michael earned awards for
Outstanding Contribution, for Teaming & Innovation and four
awards for patents. He published more than a dozen papers and
was awarded eleven US patents in language recognition, performance
& security. At ACC, Michael has received an Innovation Grant,
presented at the TCCTA and the TCEA conferences.
Michael and Margaret Lacy have been married for forty-one years.
They have two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael, Matthew &
Shannon.
