Online Students are expected to check class announcements in Blackboard and maintain contact (minimum once a week) with the instructor and other students through Austin Community College's gmail and participate in the class Discussion Board Forums.

Online students please check online information here about getting started with the Digital Imaging online classes. Please contact instructors the first week of the semester, to make sure you have all the necessary information to start the semester. Contact Ann Kennedy via e-mail at akennedy@austincc.edu.

Digital Imaging 1 and students new to distance learning classes are required to attend an orientation for the Digital Imaging classes.

Live Online Orientation Sessions via internet:

You must attend one of the following. Mandatory online orientations on

  • Tuesday January 17th, at 12:30 pm CDT or
  • Wednesday, January 18th at 7pm CDT, or
  • Friday January 20th at 7 pm CDT
Please RSVP to akennedy@austincc.edu which day you will attend. This orientation should take about one hour. We will review the Syllabus, Course outline, Blackboard and my expectations of you for the semester. Log on at :

To attend all you'll need a broadband connect.

On the login page, select enter as guest, type your name then click enter room. (Please use your full name rather than an alias as this is how I will keep attendance records).

It's best to attend the live orientation lectures so that you can ask questions, but if you can't make it check blackboard - as soon as the orientation is over a link to the recording will be posted.
