Group Project One

  1. Your task as a group is to research a successful technology company. You must research this company completely - from inception, to its current state, and going on to it's forecast growth.

  2. Your group will write a paper about the company according to the guidelines attached. Only one paper will be prepared per group.

  3. Your group will also prepare a PowerPoint presentation and present to the class on your presentation day.

  4. Your paper must list all your sources.

  5. The following are the general guidelines for the paper.
    1. Required Elements
      1. A title page
      2. A summary or abstract on it's own page
      3. Table Of Contents on a separate page
      4. Main body of paper
      5. Bibliography
    2. Optional Elements
      1. Any figures, diagrams or tables unless they are needed to prove a point or make a point in the paper.
      2. Index
      3. Appendices
      4. Glossary
    3. Length and Format of Paper
      1. The main body of the paper must be minimum 3 pages and maximum 5 pages. Diagrams may not be used to fill up the length of the paper.
      2. Main body of the paper must be single spaced.
      3. You must use the Times New Roman size 12 font for the main body.
      4. The title of the paper may be in any font.
      5. The entire body of the paper must be in strict black-and-white. There will be no use of color.
      6. You must have one inch at the top, bottom, right, and left margins.
      7. Use standard size 8.5 x 11 paper.
      8. Do not hyphenate words at the end of lines.
      9. Do not use contractions.
      10. Use appropriate spaces after a comma, colon, semi-colon and a period.
      11. Do not use any abbreviations other than formally accepted abbreviations such as RAM, Mr., Mrs. .
      12. Quotations may be used though sparingly. Follow the guidelines from English for using quotations in a paper.
      13. Use proper bibliography format for your sources.
      14. Make sure there are no spelling or grammar errors.
