- This project has to do with a decision support system to assist On The
Vine Grapes in making a decision to lease or buy new delivery trucks.
- Detailed information can be found in CASE 12 on pages 418-419 of your text book.
- NOTE: To simplify this problem you may ignore the implication of taxes and
net present value. To determine the cost of purchasing the vehicle assume a
60 month life, thus the monthly cost of the vehicle becomes 1/60th of the
purchase price assuming you can sell it for the depreciated value after
3 years.
- You are to make a presentation to the class and provide a copy to the instructor that contains the following:
- Detailed summary sheet of the lease / buy option for On the Vine Grapes.
- A written recommendation to On The Vine Grapes to buy or lease the new trucks.
