Welcome to my
American Literature I class!
The online
orientation will not be posted here.
I will post it on the ACConline
web site. You may not complete it until
the system administrator creates your Blackboard login. He will most likely have you entered into the
system and able to log in by the weekend before classes begin unless you
registered for the course during the add and drop period. In the latter case, it will take a few more
days. Additional information about
ACConline, including contact information for the system administrator, is given
on the syllabus In the meantime, if you want to get a
headstart on the work for the course, you may begin Reading Assignment 1.

Tip: Print and preview the review
questions for each assignment before you begin the readings. Keep the questions handy as you are reading
your assignments, and highlight the answers to the questions as you read. (If you have time, you can also write the
answers down for review.) This will
enable you to focus your attention on what is most important as you read and
also to make preparing for the exams much easier. If you read the assignment without looking
over the questions first, it will be a lot harder to find the answers when you
go back to highlight them after you have read the assignment.
