Core Curriculum
spacer

Students who successfully complete ACC's 42-credit core curriculum can transfer the entire block of courses to any state public college or university and substitute it for the transfer institution's core curriculum requirements.

Students are encouraged to complete the core at ACC and to work with an advisor or counselor to carefully select courses that will also meet the specific requirements for their major. Math and science are often "major specific", meaning that different majors require different math and science courses.

ACC designates core curriculum courses on the official ACC transcript. The note "Core Curriculum Completed" appears on student's transcripts if they complete the core curriculum.

The ACC core curriculum course list appears in the ACC catalog.

2008-2009 Core Curriculum

Students who do not plan to complete ACC’s core curriculum may prefer to complete the core of the institution to which they plan to transfer. Other colleges’ core curriculum is available online.

Are you transferring to a private college or university? See General Education requirements for private colleges and universities.
