Admission Requirements for Transfer Students:
Regular Admissions:
- Have earned an associate's degree OR have earned at least 54 college credit hours
- Have completed three semester hours of college algebra or a higher (HSH students substitute “MATH 1332 – Mathematics for Liberal Arts” for College Algebra)
- Have completed English Composition I and II
- Have passed the TASP/THEA exam or be exempt from it
- Be eligible to return to the last institution attended
Concurrent Admissions:
- Have at least 45 college credit hours
- Have completed three semester hours of College Algebra or a higher (HSH students substitute “MATH 1332 – Mathematics for Liberal Arts” for College Algebra)
- Have completed English Composition I and II
- Have passed the TASP/THEA exam or be exempt from it
- Must show proof of enrollment at another institution each semester of concurrent status
- Students in concurrent admissions status will be limited to taking 12 hours at UHCL and must remain in good academic standing
Admissions Deadlines for Early Registration:
- Fall – June 1st
- Spring – October 1st
- Summer – March 1st
Transfer Credit Information:
- Non-traditional credit may be accept upon review.
- Lowest grade accepted: “C” in most cases
- Minimum GPA: 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
