The BACT was established to serve the needs of the greater Austin community by providing educational, performance-based, and high stakes assessments. Testing for other educational institutions, along with business and industry, to include international agencies, were introduced shortly after the centers opening.

GED testing has been an intricate part of Austin Community College since it was established in the early 1970's. We have been an industry leader in this program while also developing new techniques in the administration and security of the exam.

GED Demographic Information

If you wish to have part of your GED Registration completed in advance then go to the link below. You will need to create an eID with the University of Texas then complete and submit a "Demographic Form". Make sure you pick test center number 0130. At registration, make sure to tell the Examiner you completed the Demographic Form online!
