The GED consists of five (5) tests, which are administered by appointment only. Each of the five individual tests has a time limit and a set number of questions. Refer to information below so you will know what each test covers, the time limit and number of questions. The tests may be taken in any order you choose. Score reports are mailed to you about three weeks after you have completed an exam and/or when you have completed all five tests. The GED tests are offered in English or Spanish. When you begin testing in one language, you must take all five tests in that language. If you pass each of the following tests with a score of 410 and achieve an average score of 450 over all five exams, you will receive a GED High School Equivalency Certificate from the Texas Education Agency.
Inquires should be made with the Texas Education Agency at (512) 463-9292 if your score report has not been received in three weeks. Do not call earlier than three weeks to check on your scores.
