Beginning of the makeTransparent method

The makeTransparent method begins in Listing 4.

This method receives

• an incoming reference to a Picture object
• coordinate values for the diagonal corners of a rectangle
  • that will be used to crop the picture

Listing 4 crops the picture to the rectangle defined by the coordinate values.
