Online Orientation Instructions

Spring 2008

Revised: 01/11/08

The official web page for this course is http://www.austincc.edu/baldwin/Spring08/Itse1356WebPage/ITSE1356.htm.

Requirement for online orientation

Distance Learning classes at ACC require that the student attend orientation at the beginning of the semester.  I require orientation for classroom sections in addition to Distance Learning classes.  All orientation for this class is provided online. If you have completed this online orientation procedure and still need personal orientation, please visit me during my regular office hours.

Procedure for online orientation

To accomplish online orientation, visit the links on the official web page for this course.  The link to the official web page is given above.

Then send an email message to Baldwin@DickBaldwin.com stating explicitly that you have read, understand, and will comply with the information and instructions provided by the following documents, which are accessible at those links.

Importance of your email message

If you follow these instructions carefully, your email message will serve two different purposes.

Format of your email message subject

Please begin the subject line of your email message with your last name and cause it to read as follows:

LastName, FirstName, ITSE1356, online orientation complete

Then I can sort the messages by the subject line and find your email address on the basis of your last name in the subject line.  If you don't do this, don't expect me to send email messages to you with important information such as your performance on assignments and exams.

Format of your email message body

Please attest to the fact that you have read, understand, and will comply with the material in the above list.

Please also include your name, work telephone, and home telephone in the body of the email message.
