CRPT 1441 Conventional Exterior Finish Systems Photos
Photos of another class installing a metal roof
Students start by setting up scaffolding
so they can reach the roof to add decking
After decking, students add composite shingles.
...then they add soffit and vents
Soffit is the plywood that is installed under the overhang; the vents allow air to circulate through the attic.
Students Install sheathing where the hardi will be installed.
Students cut the skirt board...
...and add it around the bottom of the building
After wrapping the building with black felt to help moistureproof it, they install windows
and cover the big window and add studs to make it stable during the eventual move.
Students install Hardi planks on one side.
They add wire mesh to hold stucco...
...and apply stucco onto the mesh
Finished scratch (first) coat
Students mix stucco ...
And apply the final coat
The stucco is done
