OSHT 1305 OSHA Regulations - Construction Industry

A study of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations pertinent to the construction industry. Carpentry certificate seekers do not need to take the prerequisite CNBT 1402

Emphasis is placed on OSHA policies, procedures and standards as well as construction safety and health principles. In this entry-level course, students will examine 29 CFR 1926, Safety and Health Regulations for Construction, in detail.

Attendance is extremely important in this class due to the reading assignments and lectures. Missing any portion of the OSHA 30 Hour section will nullify your right to receive an OSHA card.

   Clarification of Citation Policy

   Focus on Hazards:

  • Stairways and Ladders, Scaffolds, Fall Protection, Excavations
  • Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators and Conveyors
  • Protection and Signs, Signals and Barricades

  • Health Hazards in Construction
  • Hand and Power Tools
  • Fire Protection and Prevention Confined Space Entry

  • Welding and Cutting
  • Electrical
  • General Recording Criteria
  • Hazard Communication
