Example 1:                                         
Lecture Score  =  9.5 Homework Average
+ 0.70 x 90 Test Average =    63
+ 0.20 x 82 Final Exam      =   16.4
=  88.9
Lab Score = (48 total points achieved)/(50 possible points) x 100%       =    96
Class Score = 0.75 x (88.9 Lecture Score) + 0.25 x (96 Lab Score) =   90.7 = “A”

Example 2:                                         
Lecture Score  =  8   Homework Average
+ 0.70 x 70 Test Average =    49
+ 0.20 x 75 Final Exam      =   15
=  72
Lab Score = (40 total points achieved)/(50 possible points) x 100%       =    80
Class Score = 0.75 x (72 Lecture Score) + 0.25 x (80 Lab Score) =   74 = “C”

Example 3:                                         
Lecture Score  =  0   Homework Average
+ 0.70 x 70 Test Average =    49
+ 0.20 x 75 Final Exam      =   15
=  64   (Lecture Score is < 70 so will receive D or F)
Lab Score = (48 total points achieved)/(50 possible points) x 100%       =    96
Class Score = 0.75 x (64 Lecture Score) + 0.25 x (96 Lab Score) =   72
Since Class Score is > 60 Student will receive “D” (see Lecture Score)

Example 4:                                         
Lecture Score  =  6   Homework Average
+ 0.70 x 80 Test Average =    56
+ 0.20 x 75 Final Exam      =   15
=  77   
Lab Score = (30 total points achieved)/(50 possible points) x 100%   =   60 (<70 so will receive grade of “D” or “F”)
Class Score = 0.75 x (77 Lecture Score) + 0.25 x (60 Lab Score) =   72.75
Since Class Score is > 60 Student will receive “D” (see Lab Score)
