The Biology Department has created several ways to aid students attempting to pass the assessment tests required for enrollment in BIOL 2304/2101 Human Anatomy and BIOL 2305/2102 Human Physiology.
BIOL 1308 is a regular academic course taught in the 8-, 12- and 16- week sessions during the fall and spring and the 6- and 11-week sessions during the summer. The course offers an in-depth review of basic biological concepts and material.
BIOL 1406 is a general biology course designed for students with a strong science background who desire an in-depth approach to biological topics and to prepare for Human Anatomy.
CHEM 1305 is an introduction to the basic concepts of chemistry including the metric system, atomic structure, the periodic table, ionic and covalent bonding, and the nomenclature of chemical elements and compounds to prepare for Human Physiology.
The Biology Department offers a number of short "prep" courses in conjunction with Continuing Education to refresh students' knowledge of high school biology and chemistry. Students wishing to study for the assessment test required to register for Human Anatomy should enroll in Biology 4000. Students wishing to study for the assessment test required to register for Human Physiology should enroll in Chemistry 4000. The cost for each 16 hour/multiple day class is $61. Please note: Students need to attend all class meetings.
Sign up early or classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
