Testing for Fall 2016 Session opens June 3, 2016 and ends August 24, 2016.
Your first test in each area is free--one for Anatomy and one for Physiology. Thereafter each test costs $20 every time you take it. Only your first attempt is free. If you take the test for Fall session, the first will be free. All subsequent attempts will be $20 each. If you test again for the following Spring session, all three attempts will cost $20 each.
You do not need to register for the Assessment Tests at most campuses. Just go the Assessment Center at the posted times (see below). At Cypress, you must call to schedule a time for the test. Arrive at least 1 1/2 hours before the center closes to give yourself time to complete the test.
The Anatomy and Physiology Assessment Tests are given in the ACC Assessment Centers (located on every ACC campus). You must pass the assessment test(s) with a score of 70% 0r higher to enroll in BIOL 2304/2101 Human Anatomy and/or BIOL 2305/2102 Human Physiology.
Each test takes between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours to complete. The centers will not let you start the test unless you have time to finish so plan accordingly.
You must bring the following when you take the Assessment Tests
ACCeID Number (Student ID Number)
ACC Student ID or Government Issued Photo ID
General Information About the Assessment Test
Passing is a score of 70% or higher.
BIOL 2304/2101 registration requires a passing score on the Anatomy Assessment Exam
BIOL 2305/2102 registration requires a passing score on the Physiology Assessment Exam
BIOL 2404 does not require an assessment exam
You must wait 24 hours between test attempts, limited to 3 Anatomy and 3 Physiology attempts per semester
Allow up to 5 business days for processing of score(s). Passing score is 70% or higher. A passing score receives permission to register for one academic year (3 registration periods). For example: Spring 2013, Summer 2013, Fall 2013
