In today's world, biotechnology is an exciting and controversial topic that people are interested in learning about. Besides supporting a high school program and networking the 6 state, South Central Bio-Link region, the department also does outreach to the community and other groups. If you are interested in having a Biotechnology Outreach Workshop done for your group, please contact Steve Spurlock at 223-5915 for information, including costs.

Current Activities:

BioAustin and St. David's Healthcare System are proud to host a seminar/workshop/boot camp on funding options and strategies for biotech companies presented by Life Science Nation.   The rules have changed and so must fundraising strategies and tactics.   Life Science Nation puts on these workshops in different US cities and we are fortunate to have them make a stop in Austin to present their view and expertise finding and securing biotech funding.
