Welcome from the Austin Community College Biotechnology Program! We’re excited to be offering a course of study that places students into the area Life Science industry and is appropriate for high school students, career changers, and students with 4-year degrees in Chemistry or the Life Sciences. The program has been placing students in industry for over ten years and continues to grow with the advent of the Round Rock campus and its cutting edge technology. Once they finish their required internship, students will find that they are ready to enter industry and advance up the technician career ladder regardless of their degree (4 year or 2 year).
Also, because the Austin Community College Biotechnology Program is part of the National Center Grant in Biotechnology, students also learn about industry and therefore job opportunities across the nation.
We look forward to you joining the program and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, any faculty member in the program, or our administrative assistant, Steve Spurlock.
With Warmest Regards,
Linnea Fletcher Ph.D.
