SUBJECT: Northridge Cooling Tower Replacement
RECOMMENDATION
That the Board award the Northridge Cooling Tower Replacement contract to Central Texas Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. in the amount of $230,849.

This item is consistent with Strategic Planning Directive 2: Provide adequate facilities for the six campuses and the district offices.
RATIONALE
The current Northridge Campus cooling tower is a used tower that was installed in 1992 as a temporary measure to provide additional cooling capacity. The new tower will be more efficient and should have a useful life of twenty years.
BUDGETARY CONSIDERATION
Funds for this project are allocated from the FY 1998 Building Use Fees.
