SUBJECT: Proposed New Board Policy on Employee Compensation

That the Board of Trustees discuss the proposed policy on employee compensation.

This is a new Board policy.

A compensation policy would provide the administration and the Board with general principles for making budgetary decisions on employee compensation, instead of making such decisions on a purely ad hoc basis.

The budgetary impact depends on the nature of the policy enacted.
