SUBJECT: Real Estate - Central Warehouse Facility

RECOMMENDATION
That the Board of Trustees authorize the administration to purchase property and a facility for warehouse and service center functions, within the costs of annual leases.

RELATED BOARD POLICY OR BOARD PLANNING PRIORITY
This item is consistent with Strategic Planning Directive 2: Provide adequate facilities for the six campuses and the Highland Business Center.

RATIONALE
The cost of a college-owned, larger facility will largely be off-set by a reduction in leased costs. In addition, the College will secure badly needed additional warehouse space and be able to address over-crowding in other facilities.

BUDGETARY CONSIDERATION
Purchase to be off-set by reduction in lease costs.
