SUBJECT: Board Resolution to Participate in an Interlocal Agreement Authorizing Cooperative Purchasing with the Texas Community College Cooperative Purchasing Network

PROPOSED ACTION
That the Board of Trustees discuss a resolution authorizing ACC’s participation in the proposed Interlocal Agreement with the Texas Community College Cooperative Purchasing Network.

RELATED BOARD POLICY OR PLANNING PRIORITY
This item is consistent with Board Policy C-10 (Purchasing).

RATIONALE
The benefits derived from participation in the TCCCPN, which is sponsored by Texas Association of Community Colleges can be measured in several ways: volume purchasing power, discounts, labor savings from not having to conduct research, prepare specifications and complete the bid/proposal process for numerous products. Participation in the Cooperative also assures that the procurement process complies with State of Texas statutes for competitive bids and proposals.
