PROPOSED ACTION
That
the Board of Trustees discuss a proposed revision to Board Policy F-10,
Employee Compensation that meets the objectives of the Faculty Senate.

DIRECTIVE
This
item is consistent with Board Policy F-10, Employee Compensation, and also
Board Policy D-3, Faculty Workloads.
RATIONALE
The
proposed amendment to Board Policy F-10 provides the method for calculation of
full-time faculty compensation that relies upon the base salary of 9
months of the target institutions. This
method is a preferred calculation approach of the Faculty Senate to achieve an
“average” target salary of the metro colleges.

CONSIDERATION
Estimated cost increase of $500,000
annually when fully implemented.
