Board Highlights

Voter approval of tax increase

ACC's original taxing authority was granted by voters in 1986. It was capped at 5 cents.

On May 3, 2003, voters approved an increase in the ACC tax rate limit from 5 cents per $100 to 9 cents per $100, phased in over 3 years. Voters also approved a $99 million bond issue that will require additional taxes of slightly less than 1 cent per $100 to service.
