Rafael Quintanilla was reelected to the Board of Trustees in May 2004. He has just served two years as Chair of the Board.

Quintanilla is an Appeals Panel Judge with the Texas Department of Insurance. He is past chair of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a past board member of People's Community Clinic. 

He and his wife, Diana Borja, are active members of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church.  He also serves on the Board of Seton Hospital.

His undergraduate degree in government/economics and his law degree are both from the University of Texas at Austin.
