Types of Gifts

Gifts can come in a variety of forms. Here are some ways you can support the college.

Planned gifts

You may make the ACC Foundation a beneficiary of your estate, with gifts unrestricted or designated to support specific programs or departments at the college.

Planned gifts can be structured in a variety of ways depending on the donor’s particular situation, financial goals, and philanthropic objectives. We recommend you consult with your financial advisors and/or legal counsel to establish a planned gift that best suits your objectives.

Corporate matching gifts

Many companies match donations by their employees to non-profit organizations. To find out if your employer offers a matching gift program, contact your human resources office. It will have the forms you need to complete and send to the ACC Foundation with your gift.

In-kind gifts

Gifts of equipment, software, electronics, instruments, furniture, and other items can benefit the college. Potential donors should contact the Foundation, and Foundation staff will work with faculty and staff to determine whether the in-kind contribution is needed.

GoodSearch and GoodShop

  • GoodSearch.com is a Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine.
  • GoodShop.com is an online shopping mall that donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your designated cause.

Funding received from GoodSearch and GoodShop will be placed in the ACC Foundation General Scholarship account.
