Maintain high
education standards for all students. Employers will

Treat all students
and fellow employees with respect
Be responsive to
student phone calls and emails
Grade assignments
and exams fairly and in accordance with students’ academic
performance
If you offer extra
credit assignments they should be offered equally to all students
Distance learning
courses must offer the same content and academic rigor as classroom
courses
The privacy of
student academic performance and health issues must always be
maintained
Avoid using foul
language
Avoid behaviors and
language that may be construed as harassment
Follow Office for
Students with Disabilities (OSD) guidelines with disabled students
Negative comments
about the college, other instructors, and college employees should be
avoided when communicating with students
Students with a
complaint against another instructor should be directed to the
appropriate department chair
Avoid dating
students, and always use good judgment when socializing with students
When in doubt about
anything, consult with your department chair
