The Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design (A&E CAD) department at Austin Community College offers a two-year program leading to an Associate of Applied Science degree and a one-year program leading to a Certificate.
Austin's CAD Learning Center offers Continuing Education classes to practicing and prospective CAD professionals.
A&E CAD students

Many A&E CAD courses transfer to university programs.
A&E CAD students develop proficiency in specialized areas:
• Mechanical CAD
• Civil and Architectural CAD
• IC layout and design graphics

In-district tuition for a 66 credit hour A&E CAD degree is about $4500 (Spring 2008).
A&E CAD students are provided free individual tutoring in an open computer lab.
The A&E CAD department offers both semester-long classes for college credit and continuing education classes and workshops in Austin's CAD Learning Center.
Our Certified CAD Drafter program, offered through the Learning Center, is intended to equip you with entry-level CAD drafter skills in as little as 8 weeks and can be converted to college credit on successful completion.
Our Learning Center training provides accelerated high-quality education to practicing and prospective CAD professionals. Our day and evening workshop offerings are geared to fit the schedules of busy adult learners.
Most of our Learning Center courses can be presented on a contract basis either at your site or in one of our labs reserved for your organization.
