Jeffrey was born in Austin, Texas and raised in Manor, Texas. As an athlete in high school, Jeffrey participated in football, basketball and track & field. With hard work, he and his teammates made it all the way to the Texas State Track meet in the Mile Relay event, but someone dropped the baton (not Jeffrey).
Moving on to College, he attended Temple Jr. College and studied Engineering Design Graphics. Jeffrey then transferred to Austin Community College and received his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Architectural & Engineering CAD from ACC.
Jeffrey has worked in the Civil Engineering industry since 1996 as a Civil CAD Designer. In 2004, Jeffrey began teaching at ACC, while continuing to work in the private industry. In 2008, Jeffrey became a full-time faculty member of the A&E CAD department at ACC, and has retired from private industry. In his own way of "giving back", Jeffrey is an Autodesk Certified Civil 3D Instructor, and teaches Continuing Education classes at ACC to industry professionals. He also provides consulting services to private firms and governmental agencies.
Jeffrey B. Muhammad is the Civil Drafting Coordinator, and the Interdisciplinary Coordinator in the A&E CAD Department. His office is at the Northridge campus in room 3226.
