Industrial Light & Magic. Casey wanted to work for the company that brought Star Wars to life. However, during his studies in Computer Animation, he met the woman of his dreams. With visions of supporting a family on the salary of a starving artist, he altered his course.

In 1993, Casey entered the semiconductor industry. By night, he donned his clean-room garb and worked in a fab manufacturing Integrated Circuits. By day, he took up his mouse and learned the art of Integrated Circuit Layout and Design. In 1997, Casey began his adventure as an IC Layout Designer. Laying the foundation of his experience with an established company that spanned the globe, Motorola, he contributed to a host of Static RAM architectures.

Seeking new opportunities, Casey transitioned to the energy and innovation of a small startup company, GSI Technology. Delving into tools both for layout and verification, he pursued performance enhancements and problem resolution.

Expanding his horizons, Casey joined the satellite design center of a company headquartered in Canada, MosAid Semiconductor. Assisting in the architecture of Dynamic RAM's, he also became the Cadence Virtuoso and Virtuoso XL expert for the design center.

Following years of digital design, Casey returned to Motorola prior to the transformation into Freescale. After a period of Standard Cell development, he launched into the construction of analog architecture.

The adventure has come full circle, for in the halls where he once studied, he now teaches. By day, Casey continues to create as a Layout Architect. By night, he instructs students in the ways of Integrated Circuit Layout and Design.
