A study of structural systems including concrete foundations and frames, wood framing and trusses, and structural steel framing systems. Includes detailing of concrete, wood, and steel to meet industry standards including the American Institute of Steel Construction and The American Concrete Institute. |

This course is intended to give students workforce skills in the CAD field.

- Lectures introduce new material.
- Exercises allow the instructor to lead students through the material the first time.
- Projects provide opportunities for students to practice with the new tools on their own.

DFTG 1405 and DFTG 1417 |

| Objectives/Outcomes |
To introduce the student to Structural Architectural Drafting practices and techniques, and to prepare the student for the application of this skill set in the workforce. |
