| Course Description |
Topics will cover the principles and practices used in residential construction. This course is an introduction to the preparation of architectural construction documents for a single family residence. |

This course is intended to give students workforce skills in the CAD field.

- Lectures introduce new material.
- Exercises allow the instructor to lead students through the material the first time.
- Projects provide opportunities for students to practice with the new tools on their own.

| Objectives/Outcomes |
The main objectives of this course are to introduce the student to disciplines and practices used in Architectural Drafting, strengthen the skill set and concepts necessary to engage in and execute Architectural Drafting practices and to prepare the student for the application of this skill set in the workforce. Upon completion of this course, the student will have a set of portfolio-ready drawings that can be shown to prospective employers. |
