DFTG 1491 Special Topics: Portfolio Course Syllabus

Course Description Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design's capstone course. Particular attention is given to the development of a portfolio suitable for job hunting in the Architectural and Engineering CAD field. May be repeated to meet the requirements of an Architectural and Engineering CAD internship.
Rationale This course is intended to give students workforce skills in the CAD field.
Instructional Methodology
  • Lectures introduce new material.
  • Exercises allow the instructor to lead students through the material the first time.
  • Projects provide opportunities for students to practice with the new tools on their own.
Prerequisites Advanced students only. Students must attend orientation.
Objectives/Outcomes Guides students through the process of creating a professional quality EDG portfolio and resume. Job hunting techniques and interviewing skills and strategies are also discussed and presented.
Grade Determination Grading policies are determined by individual instructors or course coordinators.
